Search your tasks, lists, items, comments, and upcoming calendar events from one box.

Where to search

iPhone app: Tap the magnifying glass at the top of the screen, then type in the search field.
Phone browser: Tap the 🔍 at the top of the screen.
Computer: Click the search box at the top of the left rail, or press / to jump to it.

Results appear after you enter two characters, and update as you type.

One search covers your household:

Tasks: titles and notes, including tasks you’ve finished.
Lists: by name.
List items: including details about them. For example, searching “Italian” finds your Italian restaurants.
Comments: on tasks and items.
Calendar events: what’s coming up.

Search respects private lists: items on a private list only show up for its creator and the people it’s shared with.

Select a result to go to it. A task opens ready to edit, a list item opens on its list, and a comment opens the conversation it’s in.
