Custom lists
Make a checklist for anything that doesn’t fit another list type.
Making one
- On the Lists screen, select New.
- Choose Custom list, a blank checklist.
- Name it, for example “Moving house”, “Party prep”, or “Weekend jobs”, and select Create.
- Add your items and check them off as you go.
Tip: When you type an item, Gatherby corrects the spelling. You can also add items with a 📷 photo or by sharing something to Gatherby.
Reusing a custom list
- Open the list on the web and select Save as template at the bottom.
- When you need the list again, open Settings → Lists → Templates on the web and select Start next to the template.
The new copy contains the same items, all unchecked.
A list inside a list
A list can include another list as one of its items, such as a “Diaper bag” list inside a “Travel” list. The item shows the inner list’s progress; select it to open the inner list. The item is marked complete once every item on the inner list is checked.
To add one on the web:
- Open Settings → Lists → Your lists and choose the outer list.
- Under Sub-lists, choose a list in Add a sub-list.
- Select Add sub-list.
Choosing one of your active lists links that list, so changes show in both places. Choosing a template starts a new, unchecked copy.
